Terms of Service
Last updated: June 5, 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the OpenSourcer website and the software applications we distribute, including DeskState and Bouncer Bar (together, the "Apps"). By downloading, installing, or purchasing our Apps, you agree to these Terms.
1. Who we are
OpenSourcer is an independent software studio building utilities for macOS. You can reach us at support@opensrcr.com.
2. Licenses
When you download a free App or purchase a Pro license, we grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to install and use the App on Macs that you personally own or control (up to 3 active machines per license). A license is per-person: each member of a team or household who uses a Pro App needs their own license.
You may not resell, sublicense, rent, or redistribute the Apps or license keys; circumvent license enforcement; or use the Apps in violation of applicable law.
3. Purchases and billing
Pro licenses are one-time purchases — they are not subscriptions and never auto-renew. Orders are processed by our merchant of record, which handles payment, applicable taxes (such as VAT or sales tax), and receipt delivery. Prices are shown at checkout in your local currency where supported.
4. Refunds
We offer a 14-day, no-questions-asked refund on all purchases. See our Refund Policy for how to request one.
5. Updates and support
A Pro license includes all minor and patch updates for the major version you purchased. We may release paid major upgrades in the future; if we do, existing customers will be offered upgrade pricing and may continue using the version they purchased indefinitely. Support is provided by email at support@opensrcr.com.
6. Product communications
When you purchase an App, you agree that we may email you about that purchase (receipts, license keys, security notices) and occasionally about updates to the Apps you own and new OpenSourcer products. Every non-essential email includes an unsubscribe link, and opting out never affects your license or support.
7. Privacy
Our Apps are local-first and do not collect telemetry or analytics. See our Privacy Policy for the full picture, including what our checkout provider processes when you make a purchase.
8. macOS permissions
Some features require standard macOS permissions (for example, Accessibility access to restore window layouts or reorganize menu bar icons). The Apps request these permissions through the normal macOS prompts, explain why they are needed, and function in a reduced capacity if you decline.
9. Disclaimer of warranties
The Apps are provided "as is" and "as available." To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Apps will be uninterrupted or error-free.
10. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, OpenSourcer will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, profits, or revenue, arising from your use of the Apps. Our total liability for any claim will not exceed the amount you paid us for the App in the 12 months preceding the claim.
11. Termination
We may terminate your license if you materially breach these Terms and do not cure the breach within 14 days of notice. You may stop using the Apps at any time. Sections that by their nature should survive (including limitations of liability) survive termination.
12. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date above reflects the latest revision. Material changes will be announced on this page; continued use of the Apps after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
13. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state in which OpenSourcer is established, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
